Google is on crack. Or something of the sort.
According to The New York Times, Google asked experienced artists to make them artwork for free so they can use it on their upcoming Google Chrome browser skins.
I noticed, on Lazero's journal, a lot of people went on on how this is voluntary work, whoever wants to do it, does it, whoever doesn't want to, doesn't, that sort of bullshit. But I want to Kindly ask people to actually Read the two articles (which links are provided on the bottom of this journal, thank you very much)before they comment on how they don't see what's so bad about it. Unlike me, Lazeros is In the art business professionally and is probably more aware than I of how bad this can turn things to. But still, as an aspiring artist, I think it's understandable how upset we all should be. I say 'we all' because this is supposedly an art website with people who, even if not with intentions of building a professional career out of art, still take it seriously and with respect.I think that, to start with, a request like this from such a big-rich-ass enterprise is in the least disrespectful and unethical.

A lot of artists declined the offer. Here's the Petition to support that voice. [link]
This is Sato, over and out.
